Standardization of animal care and team management

In my experience working in both zoos and wildlife shelters, I have had the privilege of overseeing various animal collections, primarily psittacines.

In this supervisory role, I have led teams composed of staff, interns, and volunteers, with the aim of ensuring optimal care for the animals under my responsibility.

I have focused on standardizing tasks related to facility and equipment maintenance, implementing environmental enrichment, and developing appropriate diets, as well as training to modify animal behavior. My approach has always been to ensure the well-being and health of the animals while promoting natural behaviors and improving their quality of life in captivity.
